Josh West
Co-Owner, Head Coach
Josh is an owner and head coach at CrossFit Freeflow. A former Marine, he knows a thing or two about intense training and discipline. He began his coaching career by being in the right place at the right time. "I was a promising CrossFit athlete whose skills didn’t go unnoticed. My coach asked if I would be willing to earn my Level 1 and train others at the gym. I agreed and it was the first step in my fitness career."
To date, Josh has gone on to earn a Level 2 certificate and specializes in movement diagnostics and deficiencies. He’s passionate about helping athletes change their bodies and minds. He wants you to unlock your potential, by letting go of your limitations. You’ll be surprised by what you can do!

Jimmy Summer
Co-Owner, Coach
Jimmy is a coach and gym manager who grew up playing basketball and baseball. In 1996, he joined the Army and turned it into his full-time career. He’s attended multiple schools that have elevated his fitness level and tested his mental toughness. "I actually started CrossFit while deployed in Afghanistan. I was tired of the same old push up, sit up, 5-mile run routine. So when my commander asked if I wanted to try something new, I jumped at the chance."
"Once I returned home, CrossFit was a huge outlet for me. I was going through some tough times and the gym community stood by me every step of the way. I never let my circumstances get the best of me. Eventually, I was approached about a coaching position because of positive attitude and ability to motivate others. I happily accepted and the rest is CrossFit history!"

Coach
I grew up being active. I played softball, volleyball, was on the gymnastics team in school and was a cheerleader. As an adult I got into rec leagues, played Ultimate Frisbee and did various distance races in the US and my first Half marathon in Iceland.
I was looking for a new challenge, something to make me stronger and a better athlete. Crossfit was it! It was humbling. I struggled with everything. But I chose to keep coming, keep pushing...keep trying to breathe! The environment was so supportive!
I got certified to coach and became an ACE Personal Trainer as well. Now 10+years later I still suffer and compete with my buds and STILL love it.

I am passionate about CrossFit, a true believer that it is for everyone, any age and fitness level. I
entered my first CrossFit class at 40 with two preschoolers in tow. I had only 1 year of recent YMCA
experience, having previously resisted exercise for the bulk of my years. I knew to be the best version
of myself, I needed to make changes. The beginner friendly progressive format and supportive
CrossFit community won me over. The results were quickly visible but more important were rewards
besides the fat loss that I hadn’t imagined such as confidence, strength, endurance, emulating health
for my family.
I became a coach because CrossFit has been a blessing, life changing experience. As a coach, I am focused on helping others
get fit and stay healthy. @BOSMighty
